Our heliport design services are provided to local health authorities, hospitals, airport authorities, municipalities, police services, and private businesses. We also provide regulatory expertise to advising Architectural during the heliport design and certification phases. A typical heliport design process contains elements of which we ensure regulatory compliance:
Site Assessment
- Explore heliport location options and define flight paths
- Outline construction requirements and provide project opinion of probable costs
Detailed Design
- General arrangement drawings containing details for construction contractor
- Outline parameters for grade plan, details and sections, electrical, mechanical and structural, and removals.
Tendering
- Issue tender specifications depending on the scope of the project
- Prepare construction contract documents
Construction
- Ensure through consultation and on-site inspections contractor meets all regulatory and design requirements
- Liaison with client and contractor to ensure project schedules are met
Certification
- Provide Heliport Operations Manual and Heliport Management and Operational Staff Training
- Attend inspection with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Inspector prior to heliport certification
